They were recently endorsed by the Wellstone Democratic Club.<\/p>\n

MAYOR:\u00a0Jesse\u00a0Arregu\u00edn<\/a><\/strong>. As mayor, “Jesse will\u00a0bring our city together and get results, so Berkeley moves forward and carries on our tradition of progressive leadership.” A current\u00a0Councilmember, Jesse has progressive\u00a0vision and a record to back it up. As Mayor, he will work to tackle the affordability crisis by protecting and expanding affordable housing and preventing displacement, so Berkeley remains a diverse and vibrant place to live.<\/p>\n

\"Nanci\"CITY COUNCIL,\u00a0DISTRICT 2:\u00a0Nanci Armstrong-Temple,<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is committed to two things: Berkeley and Justice.\u00a0She plans to fight for these as Berkeley City Council representative for District 2.”\u00a0Nanci understands the unique landscape that makes up our small town, which is both diverse and complex. \"FRED\"CITY COUNCIL,<\/strong>\u00a0DISTRICT 6:\u00a0Fred Dodsworth<\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>a\u00a0Berkeley resident since the mid-seventies, a journalist, teacher and former business owner with\u00a0a lifelong commitment to the environment\u00a0and social justice issues, Fred’s\u00a0an\u00a0independent candidate who will\u00a0speak truth to power. Fred\u00a0supports a living wage and affordable housing,\u00a0will work to save Alta Bates and Herrick Hospitals, create real solutions to the homeless and mental health in our community and develop responsible transparent budgets.<\/p>\n
